live my Christian faith openly without fear or shame

wow! Four years since my last entry here, and I find I’m still working on it. There’s been some improvement. I guess this will be a daily choice.

I have really been growing in my faith since writing this. I take one step at a time, acknowledging my faith and being bold enough to live it. My church is awesome and inspiring, and getting more involved there has helped. I’m learning how to communicate with Jesus daily, which really helps, too. I can see my young children learning the beginnings of faith. I see so many changes occurring in our family.

Until recently, I didn’t realize that I was keeping my faith a secret. But since the recent retail campaign to water down Christmas into a shopping holiday, with no ackowledgement of Christ or religion at all, I have been renewed. I don’t have a “Holiday Tree”, I have a CHRISTMAS TREE. I don’t worship Santa, I celebrate the birth of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And I praise the God of Heaven, Abba, Father, for loving me and offering salvation for my soul.

Sure, it’s easy to write that here. Now I want to go out and speak it. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me…
