I have been doing my best with this one. It’s hard sometimes, as Whole Foods is very expensive and the local Acme doesn’t cater to people who don’t want crap in their diet. However, I haven’t been eating any junk food at all. I’m actually surprised at how good my restraint is.

I browsed through several vegetarian recipe websites and some cookbooks, made up a shopping list, and hit the market. Now our kitchen is packed full of produce and other healthy goodies. I’ve made vegan french toast, and it was delicious. It even passed the test of my son’s taste buds – he said he liked it better than my regular french toast. :)

this ties in with a few of my other goals, like quitting soda and sugar, and learning how to make healthy vegetarian meals. I’m not vegetarian, but my boyfriend is. He’s a great cook, but he is stuck on the same 5 things, all of which are loaded with pasta and cheese. So I thought that maybe I could start doing some cooking around here, too. I’m a good cook as long as I have a recipe to follow and everything I need to make it properly.
