Sit on a jury

Today was my last day of being scheduled for jury duty and to my surprise there was actually a case and I got picked! It was pretty interesting but a very long day of hearing witnesses testify. In the end we found the person guilty. It was an experience I don’t regret and would do it again if I could.

I sat in a room for 2 hours with 30 other people( strange silence) and then we were called into the court room where the judge proceeded to tell us that the case had been settled!! Maybe next time.

Had two cases and both got settled. I still have almost a month left-hopefully I will beable to sit on 1 case.

I start August 1st. I’m scheduled for the whole month of August. There is a big case going on in my town right now with two people being held for a mutilation and killing of a young girl. I’m really hoping that I have a chance to sit on that jury. It sounds bad- but the case has so many twists- one of the guys being held just got out of prison after spending 18 years locked up after they found the real person that committed the crime.
