I’d like to note that I hate this time of year… candy freaking everywhere. Ugh. At least my mom bought candy to give out that I don’t like (crunch bars, skittles, etc.) so even if there’s leftovers, I won’t eat it. And I’m not going out this year. (I actually love halloween, but I just end up eating so much candy!)
I went out today with my mom… didn’t buy any clothes just yet but I got new underwear. One of the sad things about losing weight is that I am now a 38B instead of C. Ah well. I wouldn’t really mind that much, except apparently it’s one of the less common sizes so it was hard to find anything in it. Just like crazy bright pink stuff. Honestly, who wears that? You can see it through your shirts O_O
I’m excited, because I’m going shopping in the morning, and I get to see what size I am now!
I’m going to try to restrain myself and not buy too many clothes, because I still hope to lose more weight and I don’t want to make my mom buy me two whole new wardrobes! So I’m thinking just a pair of jeans and a pair of khakis (I need more khakis for work anyway) and some tank tops, since that’s what I wear most of the time, and most of mine are really big and just look awful. And tank tops are cheap anyway :)
Oh, but I’ll buy lots of shoes. My feet aren’t going to change size :P
Anyway, here’s hoping for a size 12!
The first four were originally posted in my “Lose 20 pounds” goal. The rest of them are new :)190lbs by Prom (middle of May)185lbs by the end of school (middle of June)180lbs by the middle of July175lbs by the start of band camp (middle of august)170lbs by the end of September
165lbs by Halloween
160lbs by my birthday (Nov. 29) I saw someone post about the weight on their driver’s license the other day, and it made me think of how good it will feel to be able to put down 160 when I get mine instead of 195
155lbs by Christmas
I really think I need to start eating better.
For awhile now I’ve just been concentrating on eating fewer calories, since that’s what matters for weight loss.
But looking at what I eat every day, I really just have awful eating habits. I eat bad foods and I usually feel yucky as a result.
I need to start eating better in order to feel better… and that will also hopefully lead to more weight loss, since there are fewer calories in a banana than a brownie.
I live in a farm area so it’s really a shame to not eat fresh, locally grown food. The problem is it’s pretty much all vegetables around here and I don’t really like vegetables, I like fruit.
Still, even if it’s not locally grown stuff, it’s better than what I eat now.
I think I need to start planning what I eat for the next day like I did when I first started cutting calories.
I also really need to start taking vitamins again. I can’t swallow pills so I take the little kiddie chewable vitamins, and my mom got a bottle that tasted absolutely awful and I stopped taking them then.
And darn it, I need to go to the gym more. I’m going like once every four days. That’s no good. I’m hoping that if I eat better I’ll feel better and have more desire to go…
So now that I’ve identified what I need to do, and written it down so I’m accountable, I just need to do it. Right-o.
So I’ve been hovering around 180 for the past week or so… which is about 15lbs less than where I started. My next mini-goal is 175 by the end of July, so I have about 5 to 5 & 1/2 pounds to lose in about 3 & 1/2 weeks… a pound and a half a week. I didn’t lose any weight this week, but I over-ate four days in a row… a total of 1,000 extra calories in all, plus I didn’t go to the gym at all., so that’s not surprising.
I still don’t really know what my end goal is. I have another goal on here to lose 20lbs, and I’m only about 5lbs away from that. I wasn’t expecting to be there until the end of the summer. So then I decided to make it 25 by the end of the summer, losing another 5 in August. That’d still leave me about 10lbs overweight though.
I think my goal will be to maintan 170 through the fall though, because I that’s the band season and I don’t get to eat normally and won’t have very much time for the gym and will be exposed to a lot of junk food at football games and competitions… so I think 170 by the end of summer and maintaining through the fall. Then we’ll see if I can lose the last 10 after that :)
I made one of those virtual model things of me at different weights… although I think the model looks better than I do =/ And there’s not much difference between 195 and 185, which is annoying. But from 185 to 175 there’s a rather sizable difference. Hmm.
Have I mentioned lately I love the food industry?
Sure, they introduced all those processed foods that make us fat in the first place.
But then companies like Skinny Cow come up and give us delicious ice cream sandwiches and fudgesicles for under 150 calories. And I absolutely love ice cream. And it’s nice to be able to have it every day if I want to. :D
