So, several years later, I finally started cutting out the squares for my quilt. I’m using flannel left over from other projects. There’s no pattern, it’s just going to be squares. I need to get some more fabric for the border & the back, but I should actually have this done by the end of the summer.

I really want to make myself a quilt. Maybe this is something for me to do when I’m home on winter break for over a month this year. Just twin-size, and just a simple random square pattern – no fancy piecing on my first go.
I think I might make myself a quilt using my flannel scraps. I make pillowcases and I have some left over… I’d have to buy solid flannel to mix in, and the prints are kind of random, but they’re all cute and pastel colors, so I think it’d work okay. And very soft!
I’d probably be really bad at this since I’m so impatient with measuring & cutting things straight. It’s forgivable in a dress, but in a rectangle full of squares, it’s pretty obvious.
