It’s not a wreck, but there’s just some stuff piled up in the bottom of my closet I need to go through. I generally don’t like having a lot of stuff and I’ll likely be moving across the country in a year, so I might as well start paring things down now.

I’d say this is pretty much done. I probably should vacuum again though. It’s the cleanest it’s been in a long time, and it’s clean in a sustainable way too (although I won’t even be living in this room in 4 weeks). Plus, once we have our yardsale, the large pile of stuff by the door waiting to be sold will (hopefully) be gone.
I just need to finish this. There’s only one area that needs attention still – in front of my 2nd bookshelf/closet. I started on it one day and got rid of a bunch of stuff, and organized my giftwrapping supplies, but there’s still a bunch of junk laying there. I need to organize my paper crafting stuff – I keep putting it off, waiting for a shelf for my cabineet, but I really can’t expect that to happen anytime soon – and the bottom shelf of my bookshelf, and probably just toss/donate whatever is laying in the bottom of my closet.
1. GET SHELF CUT! I might have to ask one of our neighbors myself to do it for me.
2. Deal with giant pile of stuff in front/in of closet.
3. clean out/re-organize top drawer & other desk drawer
That’s all that’s left!
Mostly everything is clean now, except the corner in front of my closet/bookshelf. All my paper crafting stuff is there, plus wrapping supplies & gifts for people. I’m planning on putting a lot of that stuff into the cabinet next to my desk, but I’m still waiting on the shelf(s). At least my sewing area is clean now.
I vacuumed today, with the big vacuum cleaner, since the other one doesn’t get anything up. It’s just a pain to lug that huge thing up the stairs.
I’ve got a big box in here, and I’m putting things in it that I don’t want anymore, but are nice enough to sell/donate. Our library has a big flea market some time in the spring, so I think I’ll get a table at that and try and sell some stuff, and whatever’s left I’ll donate. Some stuff is too nice to sell at a yard sale – like prom/homecoming dresses – so maybe I’ll try to sell them on eBay or something.
1. either toss out or find places for the few things left next to my desk (a lot of books, many of which aren’t mine and need to be returned)
2. bother dad to get shelf cut!
3. clean up floor around sewing area (it’s a complete wreck)
4. get rid of boxes that are in front of bookshelf and hang up all the sweatshirts/jackets that are laying there that I don’t wear on a daily basis
5. get another 3-drawer cart & reorganize fabric
So… next Friday, I have 11 people staying at my house (we have to leave early for something in the morning and they all live like an hour/+ away, so…). Obviously they won’t all be staying in my room, but if I could clear a space for at least one to squeeze in a sleeping bag, that’d be good.
1. bother dad about shelf for cabinet until it gets cut!
2. clean up left over prom dress fabric (and any other fabric that’s laying around) off the floor
3. organize magazines on bottom shelf
4. sort through clothes & re-organize drawer
Probably some other stuff too, but I’ll add to this when I see how far I get.
So I’m waiting on the shelves for inside my cabinet to move on… That’s where I want to put all of my paper crafting stuff (and probably some other stuff, too) so I can’t really organize that area until I have somewhere to put everything… Meh.
1. clean out area next to desk
2. clean out cabinet
3. locate shelf for cabinet *i looked in the garage… turns out we got rid of it. we’re trying to find a replacement
4. organize paper crafting stuff (probably into cabinet)
5. clear out stuff under desk
6. tidy desk
