clean up my room

I just changed this from “clean up my house and keep it clean.” Considering that I am rarely home before 10pm, I do not consider it my job to take charge of keeping the entire house clean. That was entirely too daunting anyway- my family is SO messy. Instead, I am going to clean the areas that I use.

I started cleaning my shelves today

There is something I like about working at Dunkin Donuts – it is so easy to clean up. There are buckets of sanitizer stationed everywhere, and everyone is always cleaning so nothing turns into solid gunk. I almost want to get stainless steel countertops in my future home. Plus, I have learned to enjoy the simplicity and visual rewards of sweeping and mopping.

We have so much clutter that I feel claustrophobic. It is hard to keep a clean house because it has ALWAYS been this way. We scrunched 5 people into a 2 room apartment for 10 years, and the clutter monster followed us into a 10 room house.
