Help my daughter have a smooth transition to moving off ot college next fall.

Last weekend we drove her to Arcata! What a beautiful place. She is going to love it there. She’s already applying for jobs, she’s settled into her new appartment. She loves her roommates. She remembered most everything! I’ve only needed to send up a few items. ... Now its just time to clean up the rest of her room and move everyone else around!

we will be driving her to Humboldt. My goal this weekend is to help her finish her room. I’m getting more teary eyed about this every day. Hopefully I can do this without being so emotional.

We are starting to box up things that she wants to take, but doesn’t need now… And things she wants us to save for her… Wow, she is really going to go. I am so happy for her, its time, but, still my heart gets a little sinking feeling when I think about it. Hmm. I’m not good at letting go. I know I have time, but, man, this is going to be hard.

She stayed home for the first 2 years of college and went to a junior college to save money. But I think that she is much more nervous about leaving than she wants to admit because she is moody, grumpy and pretty negative lately. Its making a strained relationship with her father. I’m just praying for her right now.
