finish my basement

I came across this site which had some rather clever loft ideas and given the relatively small area I have to work with, might be a good solution for the multi-uses I need.

Basically, there’s enough height for me to move my storage under a lofted platform while keeping my desk and office space above.

It’s worth thinking about…

Okay – So we have a small basement (about 250 sq ft.) and some of that is used up by the appliances (water heat, furnace, laundry, softener, etc). I still have a good 19’x12.5’ area to finish leaving the rest unfinished for storage/utility/laundry.

Household needs? Family room, Home office, and exercise area. Yikes! This is going to be tight.

Time to come up with some drawings…
