I need to get out in the dirt and clean things up for the winter. Gawd I love the fall.

The garden this year has been amazing. Everything is finally mature and we’ve had a ton of rain this summer. For our party the other day we harvested a half dozen large arrangements and filled the house with flowers. It’s to the point now that I’m having to pull flowers like they were weeds.

Our mint is insane. We’re making mint tea all the time and of course it doesn’t stop the spread of the evil mint demon. I’ve also found a nifty mint ice cream recipe.

This really isn’t so much of an entry as a to do list:

fight back the mint
plan the pathway
plan the water feature
clean up the litter
get the dirt and make the elevated pathway

I need to find a day when I’m free and the weather is nice enough that I can pull up the old pathway and buy some dirt so that I can elevate it and make it dry when the garden is wet next year. I also need to spread some cow poop around.

Well, I already do a bunch, but we’ve just returned from a night at a nice little b&B and I’ve been inspired to design some new elements and get busy putting some things up and in.
