I checked out a kill&drill workbook and CD’s from the library. I used them for about a month, listened in my car and learned a little. Like: “Excusez-moi, monsieur, où est le bus qui va à la plage?” It’s very “survival” French for the tourist. So I think that I’ve resigned to the fact that I will not obtain regular French and more like little conversations type of deal, unless I move to Canada, France or some other country where they speak the language.
