Again and again

I keep restarting this over and over again. On the bright side, I start farther into the program each time. This time, I’ve started back on week four. The issue is usually that I run myself into shin splints… not fun. No matter how much I stretch I still get them. I must be missing something…

Regardless of the program, I’ll run my first 5k this Thanksgiving! I will definitely be earning my turkey feast this year :)

Win.

This program is fantastic. Without it, I wouldn’t have been able to pass my PT test.

I have yet to finish the program completely, but when my schedule solidifies I will make time for it again. I have agreed to start over at square one with a friend, only outside. Any running is good for me!

More treadmill

Week 5 done!

M/E’s place, treadmill, 5.5 speed.

Just need to get outside, and a little bit faster…

Surprise!

I’ve finished week 4, and I’m moving onto week 5.

Why does week 5 get so intense so quickly? Some of the days in week 6 seem less intense than w5d3…

When I finish...

I am so doing this.

Barriers

I finished week 3 today, for the third time. Tomorrow I will begin week 4… and hopefully, by the end of the week, I will have conquered it(for the first time).

Treadmills

Am I allergic to something outside? I must be. Using a treadmill is just so much easier!

I finished week 2 today, and did a day from week 1 with a 3% incline right after it. Gogo cardio!

Friends

I have started a little farther back with some friends. I ran W1D3 the yesterday on the treadmill… with a 5% incline. Wow does incline make a difference! I’m going to have to try it on the treadmill more often. One of my friends has asthma too, so indoors is probably best anyway.

Attack!

This is my new personal challenge. I’m in week 3 again. I will finish by May, and run a 5k to celebrate. There are so many in my area! I’m excited :)

Hm.

I restarted from the beginning to run with a friend, but our schedules don’t seem to work well together. It doesn’t help that he’s currently car-less and in another town.

Still, I’ve just been going by myself. I notice that when I try to bring people with me to the track, I never finish the day’s program… someone needs an inhaler, someone is too cold, upset, needs to home, whatever. It’s disappointing. I am more than capable of doing things on my own, but I want company. It’s a shame no one in my immediate circle wants to do this.

Otherwise, it’s going well enough. I’m not going to stop this time. I’m going to run my way into the new year. The cold weather is making this a bit more of a challenge, but it’s good for me :) The other challenge is my form. It needs to change, because it’s starting to hurt? Bad shin splints, or foot/ankle pain(mainly my right side). I stretch before and after, and I can’t see that I’m doing anything different… Shrug. I’ll figure it out. Maybe a doctor’s appointment would do me some good.

Good running, folks <3
