Work

It’s helping me complete this.

Personal Challenge

It’s kind of dumb that this goal is sitting on here. I’m sure I’ve absentmindedly completed it more than a few times over, but since I have not been actively paying attention I need to do it again to be sure. That said, I expect to have pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving, so I will likely start the day after.

In general I still “cheat” when it comes to desserts. I have a light chocolate soy milk that I use for my sweets cravings on a regular basis. Other than that? It’s hard to eat sweets if they are never bought.

I can't help but laugh.

I was a day away from completing this, and then had to get a bunch of blood drawn… which was then followed by sweets to get blood sugar up.

It could be a big pain in the ass… but it’s not. :)

Cheating

I have 5 days left until this is complete. I have been “cheating” by finding desserts that are healthy- two ingredient ice cream(banana based) and one day was strawberries and whipped cream. There’s sugar in the whipped cream, but it’s less than 1g/serving and I don’t care to count it. I’m happy enough moving from junk to fruit :)

No cookies, no ice cream, no candy bars, no chocolate. Winning.

As far as the healthy ice cream goes… I’ve tried with cocoa powder, cocoa + peanut butter, special dark cocoa powder, and special dark w/ peanut butter. I much prefer dark chocolate, so the next batch will be special dark with mint extract. mental drool

I’m eager to try vanilla extract minus the cocoa powder as well. Nut toppings look good, too…

Step 1.

I’ve had this on my mind, but I haven’t been very proactive about it. I still eat a bunch of sugary crap when I’m stressed. But! I’m giving it up for the whole month of March.

So what to do when I’m stressed, or sad? Exercise. Almost any activity that is out of the house(and away from sweets). Regular food maybe? I would ideally like to cut down on my portion sizing and stress eating in general, but one thing at a time, perhaps.

So far so good!

No cake, no ice cream, pastries, cookies, you name it! It hasn’t been a full week yet, but I’m going strong and don’t have much for cravings. When I do get cravings, I try to pick something that is a little sweet but more healthy (ie. fruit, instant breakfast) or even go back for seconds on my actual meal. I’m not sure how much that latter choice is helping, but at least it’s keeping me out of the cookie jar :)

EDIT: M made creamcheese cookies tonight. FML.

lol.

It appears I can only go a week at a time with this so far :) I find something to celebrate and push this goal to the side. I have a PT test this coming month, though, so I know I’ll get this done!

Edit: Beginning personal challenge :)

Reset!

This filthy cheater had a piece of chocolate bundt cake last Saturday. Looks like I’m pushing this back a bit! But that’s ok. I’m trying to get the boy into this habit as well(wish me good luck, I’ll need it) and I can’t very well do that whilst stuffing my own face.
