come out to my family and friends

in the fall of last year i wrote my brother who was serving in the military telling him that i am gay. not knowing how he would respond but knowing him as a person for all his life and being a great influence on who he has become i knew that it would not be all fire and brimstone. i wrote him to find if he was who he has always been, a free and caring person. he wrote me back quoting a line from ellen, “from one skitchaser to another…” he is funny. he remembers everything i say to him and in the letter he wrote me telling me about cousins that are gay and said that he will support me in whatever decision i make.
