so

my oldest is moving back in. No surprise there but he and I both agree that he shouldn’t get too terribly comfy. The kids’ room will be on hold for awhile. Also, see “create my oasis” I’ll have a toy-ful room again. I still have my little dressing room space, maybe I can sexy it up a bit. Not that I would spend much time in there, it’s essential a closet.

pretty awesome

Some things on the wall and some general tidying and organizing are in order but I don’t worry because they sleep in my room anyhow.

Their dad got them a huge tv for in there so they do often hang out in the evenings while I prepare dinner and stuff.

I’m also expecting my teenager to move back in soon, there’s a very good likelihood.

coming together

Tidied up a lot of the toys, made the beds, added a rug. I even did my version of space cleansing with an incense with intentions of setting the space up for sweet dreams and fun memories. It’s becoming quite cozy.

more arranging

I repositioned the bunk beds and made the beds. I tidied a tiny bit. They have been spending a little time in there but still sleeping in my room.

I found some cute scarves to use as curtain tie backs, they are fun vintagey prints which is what I was going for to break up the severity of the black curtains a bit.

lion

I picked up a very pretty watercolor of a papa lion for my daughter.

ideas

want/need:
rug
small table
wall decor
art display (their art)
name signs
some sort of fun lighting..twinkle lights or cute lamps

almost

dresser and toys moved, door painted, clothing organized.

I really just need to now move the beds

As far as awesomeness I haven’t give the decor any thought.

The room is a pretty orange that my son painted before he moved out with black curtains.

The wood floor is not in the best shape and the kids would probably benefit from a rug.

I thought a bright pretty rug and maybe some colorful tie backs for the curtains would help the black curtains seem less severe and more suitable for younger kiddos.

The orange lends itself to a fun colorful atmosphere. I could find some posters and stuff…

a little more

progress. The teens came over tonight for some work.

I still need to get the bunk beds taken apart and moved over.

cleaned

I got rid of all the leftover trashed, swept the floor and dusted the ceiling fan.

I still need to mop the floor and hang the other curtain.

I don’t think I’ll be able to move the bunk beds or the huge dresser over there alone. I can at least move their toys and clothes for now, especially considering they are likely to continue sleeping with me anyway.

L said he’d help but…you know how that goes.
