For last 10 days, I took the 7:52 tram from Misburger Strasse to Jadekomp, found myself almost the same seat, right next to last door on the tram. I would shamelessly smile at people, very very few would smile back at me, and most of the people that smiled back at me were either small babies or grandmas and grandpas. I knew Germans rarely smile in public at strangers, but it was worth a try
