Yesterday I used part of a Michael’s gift card from Christmas to buy a pair of “teach yourself knitting” and “teach yourself crochet” kits from Michaels. Now I just have to sit down and play with them at some point…

...Christmas presents next year (hey, I’M converting, my family still celebrates Christmas). I also would love to be able to knit or crochet baby blankets to donate to women’s/children’s shelters.

For those who have learned, how did you? Is it something you can learn from a book? Or is it better to find a class? Or a DVD?
