be financially independent

I was finally able to deposit a portion of my paycheck into a savings account. woo-hoo! Admittedly, $50 is not much, but it’s more than I have been able to do for a while. Sadly, it will likely be gone at the end of the month to fund graduate school applications. All the same, I have hopes that I will be able to keep this up.

I have a couple of job interviews tomorrow and Monday. I hope they will make a difference in my budget and be the change that allows me to start paying off the credit card balance, and establish a savings account/emergency fund.

i bought a budget workbook off amazon for $12. it felt weird to be paying money when i know i need to save every penny. i am just hoping that in the long run, this book will help me figure out where the money goes, how to track it and how to save it.
