The Letter P
We have made it to the letter P. My sister and I have decided to team up for this one and make some creative pizzas.
peach/beef
pear/caramelized onion/gorganzola
pepperoni
The last is for those guests who are will need a drink to bolster their courage before attempting our experimental toppings. I’m curious to see if anyone will bring pumpkin pie for a double letter given that we’re approaching Halloween.

It’s been several weeks since I have posted, but alphabet dinners are a huge success. An average of 8 people attend each week for food and friendship. “F” was a particularly fun day as we all experimented with fondue. We had a gruyere cheese fondue, chocolate and mango fondues as well.
Last week was “G”, which led, obviously, to garlic. yay garlic! I made a pasta with roasted and sauteed garlic and parsley, we also had garlic toast and a made orange julius’ with Grand Marnier. Delicious.
We’re going simple for “H” with hamburgers and hotdogs. I am bringing the fixings for hot fudge sundaes. If anyone has suggestions for unusual sundae toppings, let me know.

The letter A
Letter A Menu
Albacore Tuna Steaks with Apricot Chutney
Asparagus Scones
Angel Food Cake
Appletinis
Our first alaphabet dinner was a complete success. Liza Jane improvised a delicious apricot chutney to accompany her albacore tuna steaks. Dan mixed up some appletinis (yay Scrubs!) I baked some asparagus and cheddar cheese scone. Nick did what he could with store-bought angel food cake topped with, of all things, chocolate syrup and marshmallow fluff. Dinner was followed by a good game of frisbee until the mosquitos chased us back inside to work on a jigsaw puzzle. All guests enjoyed themselves and we have a bigger crowd attending the letter B tomorrow night.
I plan on making a Boston Cream Pie for dessert, but the rest is a surprise.

i rarely go out to eat, but at the same time i rarely cook. how is this possible? lucky charms, cheerios, total…you get the idea. the embarassing part is that i was a cook for nearly 10 years. so, i want to start making a real meal at least once a week.
