be a film business tycoon

well the interview did go great!

I got the job.
the reason this is in my film business tycoon goal is that i will be learnign skills that will make me a fantastic producer.

eek. i start on monday!!!

Well i think my interview went ok. actually the interview went great. i came out of it feeling happy – at peace almost that i’d tried my hardest to be the right person for the job and that if i dont get it i know it’s because i better oppurtunity is coming up for me.

I think the things that dont work in my favour is the fact that the person who interviewed me isn’t the one that was interviewing everyone else. The lady who was sposed to be interviewing me was running late so they got someone else to do it. She was (obviously) not prepared to do the interview but i think that that worked in my advantage – we were able to have a bit of a laugh about it!
I think i answered all the questions she asked to the best of my ability and successfully “bluffed”(for want of a better word) the ones i wasn’t so sure of.

i emailed the guy who contacted me when i got back to work about when i would find out if i got the position and he said later today – i got the phone call on the tube on the way home – but i went through a tunnel – hopefully i will be able to find out tomorrow!!

Well… i won a part scholarship to attend the film festival, but i think i’m going to attend next year – at the momment i dont have the funds and get get sponsorship quickly enough.

I also have an interview with mtv as a production assistant on Monday. Hopefully that goes well.

So today i put an application in for a scholarship to attend the Cannes Film market on an intensive learnign program to be a producer. ..

yet another step taken to get me closer to my goal!!!
Since i last put an entry here i have had a lot of great ideas for films and have started carryign a little notebook and pen with me everywhere so that i can jot the ideas i have done instantly.

i registered my first script idea today with the writers guild of America.

i believe the concept has potential not just as a film script but also video game and maybe a series of travel guides or other marketing oppurtunities.

well lets wait and see!!!!

so i entered a competition to win £25,000 and then got a phone call saying i didn’t get through to that round but i was in the chance to win a trip to los angleles!!! so i had to pitch my film idea to the public and then voted on which one they liked better and they picked miine!!! woo – i’m off to LA to hoepfully pitch my idea to some studio bigwigs and then get it made – this will be the start of my empire!

ok – one step closer… i got an email today saying i have been offered an interview at the National Film and Television School.

one BIG step closer!!!!

I have decided after my debts are close to being paid off i am going to save to make my first movie.

i’m wondering how legit it is.
It sounds almost too good to be true – expect not. i’d understand you’d have to put a lot of effort into it.

new edit! i want ot be a film business tycoon and have a film empire. i think this is more realistic and more in my stream of things. now i’m thinking more like steven speilberg or george lucas.

i gotta start coming up with my brilliant script ideas.
