I moved, so i can’t decorate my apartment anymore, but I most definitely should decorate/clean up my room and flat that i’m living in now!
kateycloud has written 3 entries about this goal
Have added a few items to my collection..
*a pleated pillow in the style of the earlier post which is fantastic and made of cord fabric instead of satin
*an octagonal (or was it hexagonal) fake wood retro dining table
*another awesome retro tv
and i found out my ugly white new minimalist-modern lamp works well with shabby flea market finds
will be moving to a new yet to be found place shortly where I
ll get to do and play with whatever I please
*Giant vintage letters
*Many succulent plants
*Art works made by myself (the ones in my head that aren’t real [yet]) and my friends
*rouched satin vintage cushions & assorted other cushions
*fantastic three-gun vase
*tacky animal tray to put on the wall
*antlers or preferably, ceramic or resin antler wall-mounted coat hanger
*home-made chandelier
*big collections of framed stuff grouped together which creep round a corner and over the top of a huge print or wall hanging or fabric
*cluttered ugly photo wall with big ornate-ish frame placed haphazardly over it
*a hanger so my many shoes can lie flat against the wall
*big cutout paper wall & ceiling drawings & wallpaper (cos i cant put any up so it has to be fake)
*an old tall lamp with a patterned shade
*bird cage
*tiered tea-cake holder
*retro couch
*various secondhand furniture
thats just so far…
Things i already have
*A red retro tv that i plan to gut and turn into a fishtank or diorama
*A huge dark wood vintage frame which is a rectangle on the outside and oval where the image goes
*a spider clock and white lamp which are both far too ‘modern’ that i acquired working in a modernist gift store and have never used but which i think could look good when combined with old and crazy things, for instance the clock on some old wallpaper
can’t think of anything else at the moment! there’s surely more i have stored away though..
