long e/u lost $

eur/usd short @ 1.2979,(15 min chart) I placed the stop on the 10 ema and it triggered and then ran down to the t.p. pass the 20 ema and almost to the 50 ema. I pulled the trigger and lost $$. the ema’s were in an uptrend and macd histogram was decreasing. I shouldn’t have taken the trade.

Demo trading- E/U short @ 1.33189 closed @1.33006 for a profit of $18.30. Why I took the trade: 4hr chart trending down, MACD below the zero mark crossed down, 5/20 EMA’s crossed down. Market trading below the 200 EMA.

• why I took this trade: major trend is down on the daily and 30 min., 10/20 EMA was trending downward, RSI 48, and although the MACD was crossed over to the upside the histogram bars where not increasing in length. The entry was just under the 20 EMA and the exit was halfway between the 1.272 and 1.618 fibs. (fib from 1.42013 – 1.44181 on the 30 min)
