On Tuesday, bent over and couldn’t stand back up straight. So… spent an hour stretching and strengthening with my trainer, and won’t do any more running for a few days.
Two steps forward, one step back, right?

Today, I started Week 2 of the running podcast. 2.5 minutes of walking followed by 2.5 minutes of walking, repeated for about 25 minutes.
For those of you who’d like to follow suit:
http://runningmatemedia.com/5k-101/Haven’t been disciplined about this but am now restarting the Podcast running program. Am finishing week 1 and will be moving onto week 2 over the weekend.
My feet hurt quite a bit… may be time to go to the running store and have them analyze my gait.
I am lucky enough to be able to afford (in both time & money) a personal trainer. We work mostly on balance & strength, but with her help I now – and only now – feel strong enough to start a running program.
I’ve downloaded a Couch to 5K program on my ipod… it seems to be based on the idea that one can run 5K within 8 weeks but I don’t think that’ll be me. But, I don’t actually care about how long it takes… just that it happens for me eventually.
Wish me luck!
