paint my living room

This goal is complete and there are still 2 days before Christmas! M & I are going to put the furniture back later this afternoon. Next I need to find rods and curtains and replace the rug (that the dog peed on). Things happen :( ! Life goes on :) .

Wow, painting is a lot of work! When you think about painting, you forget about having to wash the walls, put up tape and fix all the dings. By the time that is done painting goes pretty quickly. I have the first coat on the walls and I’m going to put on the second coat this morning. Then I just have to paint the base and the window and door trim. I am determined to have it finished by Sunday, then on to Christmas on Monday!

the ceiling is painted – looks good

I am making progress on the ceiling. I got all the tape up around the room and I was able to get about half the cutting-in done before I lost the light.

I went out in the shop and gathered all the painting equipment we’ve accumulated in the past. I’m on my way to Lowes to get the blue tape, the roller covers, and white ceiling paint. (Unfortunately the ceiling has to be painted too.) M is going to fix-up the dings in the walls and take down the light fixtures and curtain rods. I hope to have this one done by next week-end.
