So there’s a possibility that posting on this site may help me in my search.
I was born October 20, 1990. My adoption was planned before I was born. I arrived with my adoptive parents 11 days after I was born on Halloween 1990. I know almost nothing about my background except that my biological parents were 19 when they had me and my ethnic background; Italian, Polish, Swedish, German, and Irish. I know I was born in the Northern suburbs of Chicago, IL, in a city called Lake…something. I now live in Naperville, IL, and have lived here my whole life. My mom has told me that she would get really upset and angry if I ever wanted to find my biological parents, so I can’t even ask her about it. Illinois requires you to be 21 without parental consent if you want to find out your adoption information, so I’m stuck.
I just want to see what my biological mom looks like, I want to know if I look like her. I also want to know if there’s any medical issues that I could expect. And finally, I think it would just clear up any curiousity. I find myself always feeling lost and like I don’t fit in with where I am or I just don’t belong, I feel awkward when I’m around families, it’s hard to explain. I’m hoping this will change if I ever have the chance to meet or interact my biological parents, hopefully.
