Actually Tackling This

I made this goal a looong time ago and never wanted to work on it because I hate pushups! After a few times rockclimbing in one week I had already noticed an increase in my strength so I figured this was as good a time as any. I started against the wall (yep, my arms are weak). I can now to 8 against the kitchen table being careful to lower myself all the way and to keep my body straight and on an angle.



On my way

Right now I’m still in the ‘girly push-up’ phase. I must admit I have not been working as hard as I could but almost every day i try to do a few. I’ve been doing the cheater stair push-ups just to build up some muscle. The hardest part for me is getting low enough to the ground to call it a push-up. Its still a sad state but I think there has been marginal improvement.

The real, no fakin’ it, full out ‘guy’ kind. Upper body strength has never been something i easily come by…here goes.
