Accepted! Starting this fall I will be studying to become a speech-language pathologist and living in a big city. Two more years and I can start my real life. I got my first choice school so the choice is a no brainer.

Hiatus 2 years ago

I have taken a year off to enjoy myself and find out what I love. Through taking electives in Spanish and linguistics I have discovered my love of language. Science has also always been a fascination of mine. Through some contacts in a great job I got for the summer I was able to shadow a speech-language pathologist and enjoyed every minute of it. By total coincidence I ended up working with all autistic children and I learned so much from them. I will be applying for all the programs in Canada. The only complication: I am dating someone who just settled here. Can i leave for three years?

Undecided 3 years ago

Right now I’m entering my last year of an undergrad in marketing. I don’t like marketing. I love school. But now I’m working on finding out what I really do love. I love languages. I am going to take 2 more spanish classes and a linguistics class this year just to make sure. Also I plan on volunteering, hopefully with a speech-pathologist to find out if it is for me. I may have found my path!
