Took it out of the bag. Last weekend I used my digital SLR for the first time. THere was a big birthday bash and I took some indoor shots of the prep and the cake. I’ll post one once I stop being too lazy to put them online. It worked well with a tripod but the next step is a flash for the hot shoe to take better inside pictures and not be constrained by poor lighting.

I just got a Nikon D40x which means no more excuses. Right now my excuse is the cold and (so I say) uninspiring landscape. My favourite type of photography has to be ‘photojournalism’ style with events, movement and people. Yes people. Those are my excuses.
