get a job

I think I’m going to work on getting my Teaching Certification. I don’t know how good I’d be at teaching high school, but I also don’t know how good I’d be at proofreading all day. Either one has the potential to drive me insane, I suppose. And at least if I teach high school I get to talk about books, which is really the the thing which drew me to English in the first place. I always ruled out the idea of teaching because I’ve always been afraid the kids would be mean, but after what I’ve been through in the past few years I feel stronger now. Bring them on!

It’s hard being entry level. Seems like for weeks now, every job I see says “must have 3 years experience,” or something like that. I didn’t realize this would be so hard! Not to mention the fact that jobs for my major are less than plentiful anyway.. I guess this is going to take longer than I thought it would.
