i went there again, but i couldn’t donate, once again.
you see i have an ex boyfriend who lived in dubai, south africa and north africa.
and if you’ve had any kind of sexual contact with a person from a high risk aids country in the 12mths (ie dubai, SA or NA)you cannot donate.
so i have to wait until a year after that contact.
i am quite sure it will be in january. i will hopefully donate blood at the beginning of february.
wow what a drama just to donate blood!
i called them up and made another appointment.
its the 19th november, so there we go. it is DEFINITELY going to happen. im scared but its happening.
I went there and they said that I need a parental consent form because I am only 17. And that the lady on the phone should have told me.. but she didn’t!
Ah well, I made another appointment for Friday.
Thanks for all the support from everyone :)
Im going to go donate blood RIGHT NOW.
Have been trying to stay calm and have recieved a lot of great tips.

I am so freaking scared. My friend has agreed to go with me on Thursday. She is a vegetarian so I hope she can donate because she might have low iron levels.
Just thinking about it, I get so scared. I started sweating and freaking out a little bit but I need to calm down because everyone says it’s not that bad and I have to think about the fact that it will help other people.
I was looking at the questions for donors and that scared me as well. I’m pretty sure I will have to answer yes to some of the questions which might mean that I can’t donate. But now that my friend is booking it tomorrow, I really want to be able to.
Does anyone have any advice or anything? Because I’m freaking out a little bit…
Thanks :)
