to quit my job. I actually do like it but as I have two jobs I have to quit one.
katiethekettle has written 8 entries about this goal
six months, so half way.
already life has changed a lot but we have to keep being motivated.
goals for the next month:
sell my old things
get more organised
try harder at uni (get assignments done on time & do all my post-labs after classes)
exercise at least 3 times a week, even if its only a walk to the shops. the point is to get into the habit.
I have started uni, which is great seeing as I left school without graduating.
Haven’t been doing too well in the whole exercising thing but I’ll get there. I WILL join the gym at uni once I talk to my parents.
I am becoming more organised. I have met a great guy, will see how things go with that.
Haven’t drunk any alcohol for at least a week, which is different for me. But good.
Started going to church again, soo glad.
Need to save more money, try a bit harder at uni.
But apart from that everything is going great!
-Didn’t do as well as I wanted to in my exams but that’s ok.
-I got into Uni to do what I want to do, so am starting that soon. Fits in with my goals.
-Have probably put on weight, but have been trying to get back into the habit of regular exercise. Once I put my uni timetable together I can organise my time better.
-Have managed to save up $1000 in only a month, now brings money up to $2000. Will try to make it up to $4000 by end of March, then I can buy a car.
-Been doing well at work, maybe should try harder.
-I’m trying to get my life more organised so that I can sleep more and therefore do better at work.
-Have just enrolled in TAFE course Cert III Financial Services (Accounting), positive step!
-Have been making new friends & such.
MAIN OBJECTIVES TO STILL WORK ON:
1. Work hard at Uni. Be sure to set aside enough time to study and do well in each unit, so that we can get into UWA.
Aim to average about 70%.
2. Put aside 3×1hr a week to exercise. Make it a habit.
Doing this for six weeks to start would be excellent.
3. Work hard at accounting course, so that we can do the whole thing in a year. A pass in all of the units by semester 1’s end would be great.
4. Be sociable and outgoing! Try to make new friends, talk to people at work. Be interesting etc etc.
Getting enough sleep will help with this.
5. Take time out for myself. At least one half day of time off is necessary.
6. Schedule time for cleaning, organising etc. 1 hr every 2 days or thereabouts is necessary, at least until we get a bit more organised.
7. Save at least $4000 by March 31st 2009.
8. Get my license.
On our way to a “New Life”
Making new, much better friends.
Working hard, trying to save.
Not even one cigarette in almost two months.
Regular Driving lessons.
No binge drinking.
Talking about my problems instead of dealing with them in a bad way.
Taking care of myself; trying to improve both outside and inside.
Developing a better relationship with my parents.
Shit yeah :)
Okay, So I have identified the things that I don’t like, now it is time to identify exactly how I want to be by next year:
1. Have quit smoking completetly.
Obviously I will still probably have occasional cravings, but cannot give in to them.
2. Weigh about 65kgs. Or less if it is achievable.
3. Have at least $1000 saved up in the bank.
4. Be studying at university.
5. Have a new group of amazing friends.
6. Have my lisence and a car.
7. Enjoying finally being 18 :)
Okay, writing that down was really great. I can see that there are a lot of things that I am already starting to do, such as quit smoking and lose weight :)
the things that I dont like right now in my life should help me to establish what I want to change. Also, it will help me to reflect this time next year (9th October 2009) on what has changed.
I am 17. Living with my parents.
Got dumped by ex-bf on 26th-ish of August (so about a month and a half ago).
Don’t want to be in another relationship just yet, but starting to feel a bit lonely. Don’t want to get into another stupid 2-month relationship that is pointless; waiting to find someone to have a meaningful relationship with.
Current weight is approx. 73kg (161 lbs). This isn’t healthy, want to lose at least 20 lbs in the next year.
Still working at Best & Less, has been nearly 2 years. Want to quit working there in March 09.
Recently got a new job at Family Doctors as a receptionist. My first day is on Monday. I’m excited :)
I have exams coming up in about a month, its quite scary. Should seriously start studying and reading literature books.
Also, am doing a TAFE course. Really want to pass.
Would desperately love to go to uni next year, hopefully to study Dental Therapy or Dental Hygeine.
I don’t like my hair, it is too short because my sister cut it and then the hairdresser had to make it too short to even it out.
I have never been outside of Australia, so would love to change that.
I am sick at the moment because on the weekend I smoked too many cigarettes. Would seriously like to quit smoking for good.
Would love to have more self confidence and self esteem.
Have a few nice friends but my best friend is a bitch so I need to get rid of her and find much nicer friends. Its hard not hanging out with her because I get lonely, but I’m sure in the long run I will be happier.
Okay, this is what I want:
- At least $1000 in the bank
- 20 lbs lighter
- A new best friend who isn’t a bitch like the one I’m currently trying to get rid of
- My license
- A car
- To have quit my job at Best & Less (has been nearly 2 years so far)
- To have a good written reference from Best & Less (means I need to be a good employee until I quit).
- Be studying at uni
