Yay!
then we have to paint it, then we need to do the cement part, wait for the paint to cure, then we start on the next section.
yeah… this is going to take a while.
we are going to look into renting an air compressor/paint sprayer. That might speed things up…
Need to buy more primer – priming this first section is so close to being done.
hooray!
I have been busy – I have not had much time to work on this lately. But I did 45 minutes of priming this morning. the priming on the wood of the first section is almost done now. yay!
I worked on priming the space for a bit more than 30 min. this morning before getting ready to go to work. I will try to do this whenever I wake up early enough; it felt great to work on something for myself before I went to work.
Settitng up my studio requires cleaning and painting the very dirty bare concrete and flaky whitewashed wood of the downstairs space in our rented house. We have to do this in sections, because all of the studio stuff is down there right now, in boxes. We have started the first section, but it is slow going. I can’t wait until it is done. We are in the process of priming the wooden parts. (We got a lot done last weekend, and are going to work on it more this weekend.) I am considering doing a little bit everyday before I go to work (20 or 30 minutes). Maybe I’ll post a picture – we were just talking about how we wished we had taken a “before” picture, because even with just the cleaning and getting some primer down, the space seems transformed. Yay! But I will say, now that this project is started and we know the level of work involved, it is going to take months.
