I just sent off the third email to my ever-so-phenomenally responsive mother asking about her untouched stock of stained glass making tools (untouched in the 15 years since she moved to Georgia), and I got exactly the (non) response I expected.
So it looks like plan B for me.
This entails a trip to a stained glass shop and looking into official lessons. But heck, classes are a lot of fun and you usually meet interesting characters in art type classes, so all the better.
Now to dig deep into the budget and see when I can do it (and find a class, I guess, would be the logical first step… need to find the cost before I can budget it, sheesh)

I sent an email to my mother asking her about the location of her stained glass making tools.
If she can locate them (and if she is willing to let me use them….much too long a story here, but her family dynamics might require her to say no simply because I asked), then step one is easily finished, as I will have located the tools with which to do the job.
If step one is a failure, then I have located two local stained glass shops and will pay them a visit as soon as I can convince my sister (who is also interested in this goal) to act as chauffeur.
So, another goal on the starting block. I am very interested to see where this one goes. I can feel that this has a very good chance to be a vast creative outlet, so I am really looking forward to this.
