It seems slow. But I can identify true progress!

Step one – Box up your life and stick in storage
Step two – stuff the rest in your car
Step three – unload into another person’s house
Step four – do that some more
Step five – after much avoidance, consolidate some of it
Step six – use up what needs using
Step seven – give stuff away (this happens prior to step one also)
Step eight – sort paperwork – throw out or shred 9/10’s.
Step nine – write down (consolidate) some of what is important of the 1/10 leftover paperwork
Step 10 – hopefully this means less will go into aforementioned car for next stage of journey.
Stay tuned for Steps 11-12!
Today we visited the storage unit where most of our worldly goods are entombed – the good news is, we managed to shift the balance and add more from the car. Especially good news since the stuff I had agreed to deliver on my upcoming trip turned out to be THREE boxes, a bag of books and a picture frame! So you win a few and lose a few. Othe good news, I don’t have to bring it back!! Maybe I’ll save a few coins on gas…..
I recently put most of my life in storage. That does not define organization. Although there is organization in the unit! This is simply a way to manage stuff. Upon analysis, I have decided I have way too much of it to be nomadic. Fortunately I have a support vehicle and support friends.
