go to church

Well I’m on vacation with my husbadns,son, and in-laws who attend church every week even in vacation and today we went with them it was nice but there are just somethings that really turn me off about Lutheran churches (I don’t go to church to talk about abortion)I find alot of things to be hypocritical but my in-laws are Lutheran and so my husband has wanted to try Lutheran churches in our area but I was rasied Methodist and this morning I told him when we get home we are going to try a Methodist church. I keep pointing out the things that I don’t agree with and I don’t want to raise my son to belive in something I don’t.

My husband an I used to attened a church just 3 doors down the road, even were married and had our son baptized there. We got out of the habbit when the pastor started turning sermons political and talking more about the environment than God. I realize they are related but I don’t go to church to learn about how to go green I do that other ways. The past few months we have talked about going back but we want to find a different church with an actual focus on God. It is really hard because we haven’t been going for almost a year and we hate to loose sleeping in, but we know the importance of raising our son in a church he can call home.
