Well, that class certainly was an abortive effort, wasn’t it?

Tomorrow will be my third class. I have a scale drawing put together in Visio, and I’ve taken several photos of the backyard. I’ve also marked a bunch of pictures in my landscaping books that I like.
I think the next step will be making two or three concrete plans on top of the scale drawing.
I’ve enrolled in this class at the local community college:
Residential Landscape—Master Plan
Learn how to design, install, and maintain your home landscape. Professional horticulturist Miriam Mahowald lectures on plant identification and selection, installation techniques, and future care for new and renovated sites. Create a master plan to implement in stages. Bring materials fee of $12 and survey plat of your property to the first class. An optional visit to Brookside Gardens one Saturday will be scheduled. Students provide own transportation.
