I didn’t end up taking the JLPT last year, but I plan to make a better effort at studying this year. I’ve signed up to take Level 3 this December.
Soon I’m going to try writing up a detailed study plan. Level 3 will be a challenge.

I’ve decided that I’m going to take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test this December, probably Level 3. That’ll give me a concrete goal to shoot for, especially after visiting Japan in June.
I don’t expect to take more Japanese classes at the area community colleges, since I think I’ve pretty much mastered all the material in them. So I’ll continue studying on my own and at YesJapan.com. I’ve got plenty of books.
I went through all my Japanese language learning materials last night. I suspect that the Schaum’s Outline workbook could be really good. Our class struggled with it, but I think that’s because the teacher went so slowly, and the students weren’t very hard-working.
