Australia, Kyoto and Beyond

I do hope that the indications are correct and John Howard’s reign as Australian PM will come to an end this Saturday. Although at this stage it would be largely a symbolic gesture, it would be great to see Kevin Rudd sign the Kyoto Protocol on behalf of Australia.
I also hope that The Greens have an increased presence in the Senate so that there is a greater chance that Australia will play a leading role in getting serious about Climate Change.
