i want to make goals within this goal – i will not set a time limit because i want knitting to be my leisure activity and putting a time constraint will only make me feel bad when i dont meet it!
-make a hat of more than 1 color yarn (stripes)
-knit mittens.. either with someone teaching me, online tutorial of sorts, or making it up as i go along :P
-a wooly scarf of GOOD soft yarn. i will be more proud of it even if it costs a bit more to buy the yarn!
hopefully as they are completed i can post pics

so since i’ve been in ireland i’ve finished 2 hats, but they both came out too small height-wise. the first time it was definitely because i was using needles that were too small so it came out really tightly knit. the second time i just screwed up haha. i am on hat #3 and its looking good so far! :)

i made one scarf with the assistance of a friend (the one who introduced me to crocheting) and it feels good to have one done. i’m proud of it even though it isnt the type of product you’d gasp at in the store because it’s so beautiful. nothing like that. but it feels good to have accomplished something.
i’d love to do more but at the moment i have no idea how much the crocheting needles cost, how much yarn i would buy, or if i’m ready to try patterns.. but hopefully i’ll keep it up.
