record my dreams

Ok so this was clearly an adventure dream. I was walking along a beach with a friend and it was dangerous but even more importantly I was Captain Kirk and my friend was Mr. Spock! Ahhh… yes.. you kids dont know the original Star Trek but I LOVED it on reruns! Obviously made an impression. :-)

Anyway we were just there on this island with no weapons and being chased by Monitor lizards and deadly spiders… small dog sized. It sounds funny but was kind of scary.

We ended up separated and I was caught in a tree surrounded by these huge 10 foot long lizards who were waiting for me to starve or get weak and fall out… even though I made a spear it was not enough. So I was recording my last moments on a tape/video recorder or something then jumped out of the tree and ran for it… but woke up like I do every morning with my kids jumping on me! :D

Kind of surreal two days ago I dreamed I was sitting comfortably on a grassy glad on the side of a mountain looking down upon this white city wreathed in clouds… an obviously ancient greek city. There was men and women… numerous people all going to and fro… ignoring me and I did not care.

I just watched them having their Greek day… working, laughing, arguing… To be honest it was no different than ours, except there was lots more public nudity. :-)

It was kind of like a DC comic (although I am more of a Marvel fan). I was flying and had Superman like powers complete with beams of power from my hand! That was sooo cool!

Anyway, the problem was that whenever I tried to save someone it didn’t really work. I had no clue what I was doing…. and it was stressful. Grrr.. buildings would fall apart around me instead of being held up… and while there were no super villains, bullets hurt!

I was shot in the arm but realized when I woke up that my arm had been between the bed and wall and had fallen asleep.

Anyway, next time I want a manual… or at least a license to be a super villain which is much easier!

There was one recently where I was walking outside on a sunny day, and started to sink… scary at first sort of like quicksand. I became anxious when I thought I could not breathe but then that feeling left me and I realized that I could breathe… or that it was not necessary. The whole thing was almost like flying or floating but through the rock and earth.

I tried to navigate through the darkness… you could feel where you were as opposed to seeing it. Then I got freaked out again thinking about how deep you could go and how dark it was…. and I woke up.

No real meaning I guess, but a weird one nonetheless. Sort of the negative of flying. :-)

I had a weird one the other day… in the dream, I was at my computer just watching it as scenes from my life were flashing by on the monitor. It was just like it was a TV set, except the channel was set on individual moments of my life.

Anyway, my big black cat “Angus” startles me as he junps up on the desk, then as he walks by the monitor he gets sucked into it and ends up on the screen as well. Then I woke up.

Ok, no more peperoni pizza before bed! :-)
