buy less

I only paid for my pictures I had developed at Walgreen’s today. $21.75. I brought my lunch from home and ate dinner at home. Very good day!

I really sucked at this goal in March. I went a little overboard buying Noah clothes. I also bought a new Ekornes chair that I totally love, but shouldn’t have bought. Oh well, am still carefully considering my purchases, and I didn’t really buy much for me personally. However, I still spent way, way too much money this month. I am very disappointed in myself. It’s like once I get going, I have a hard time stopping or even slowing down. I am not a person who needs to have credit cards in my possession. I’m really not.

This goal fits will with my whole downsizing theme for 2007. I am feeling so good about myself when I go into a store and come out with nothing. It’s taken me a long time to realize that it doesn’t matter if something is on sale for 50% off, if you don’t need it, it’s still a waste of money. I’m being much pickier with my purchases and that is such a good thing.
