stick to a budget

worked. Wish this one had. I tried to use it again, but got confused with something with the bank, what they said we had, and what I knew we actually had, it confused me big time. Right now, I think we have around 200 dollars. I could be wrong though. I need to wait for everything to clear first before I will know for sure. That’s where I got screwed up, it’s taking forever for some things to clear, so it said we had more than I knew we had, so I couldn’t just say, k, this is what we have, this is what we have after payday, Like I did before. So until last night, I was freaking out thinking I had paid too much on bills, and that we were going to bounce checks. Now, I don’t think so. I think we’re okay, but its still not showing things I know have posted…ugh! I hate when the bank is slow to post things to the account….ugh! oh well. Good luck everyone!

well, except for some major ones that we can’t afford to pay anything on at the moment, yeah, I know, it’s bad, but anyways, we are down to 75 dollars left for a week and a half. We’ll see how this goes. Good luck everyone!

We actually had some money left over after the main bills were paid, so that was nice. I was able to put 150 towards food, for two weeks, and 100 towards gas for a couple of weeks, and then still have 200 for miscellaneous things that come up.

it’s hard when you have no money to go over your budget. It’s very hard.

I went grocery shopping yesterday, and spent twice as much as I originally intended. But, it’s a ton of food, and we’ll be able to make this last probably for a month or more. With just getting more fruit and milk from time to time. I got a lot of dinners, and most will be enough for left overs too. I also paid some of the bills, but I need to look at our budget on the computer and enter in everything I paid yesterday so that I don’t go too over. Paid most of the credit cards off over the last week, so that will be a nice feeling. Well, that’s it for this entry. have a great day!

i’ve stuck to the budget. I know we’ve gone over a bit than we had planned on, but that’s okay. It’s a work in progress. It will take a few months to get it under control. This pay day I am going to start asking for receipts every day from my husband, and recording every one of them from both of us. I don’t want to get out of control again. It’s hard, but my husband just got another raise last week, so, it should become a little bit easier. I don’t want to change the budget to the new raise, I don’t want to start depending on the raise. I want to stay where we were in the budget in case anything happens with the job. I hope to break the budget down even more, just in case anything should ever happen to his job, that way we don’t get in trouble. Anyways, I lost my train of thought. My husband wanted to wait till we paid off the debt before we started doing that, and paying off the debt has started to go, by the end of this week, we should be out of debt. We’ll see, it’s a work in progress, and it will take time, but it’s for the sanity of us, to do it. Less stress too. Slow and steady wins the race. haha! we’ll get there.

I set up a budget, there’s a section i wrote a few days ago in debt free, that details what we are doing, for a budget. Well, I put it to work, and I looked at the budget a couple of nights ago, after going grocery shopping for the first time since starting the budget with this last paycheck, we are doing great! I even had allotted more for bills than was needed, so we saved ourselves 100 dollars already. Depending on how we are doing by the next payday, we may be able to put 250 into savings instead of just 150. And, what makes it even better, my husband got another raise, another substantial raise! Seems they realize at his work how much stuff he does there, and don’t want to lose him. Not that that will do anything about the budget, I will still keep it the same way, there just will be more going to savings than originally thought. Oh, and more play money. Which is nice. I’m sooooooo excited. That was a really nice birthday present, finding that out yesterday! hahaha!

You try and try with all your might to pay the bills on time, but when sticking to a budget it’s hard. I set aside what I need to keep in the account, and then i look at what I can spend on bills. They just add up so darn fast! Inevitably I end up not being able to pay 2 of the 3 or 4 big bills. ugh! Oh well, my hubby gets paid again on wednesday, and we are getting our taxes done on tuesday, so we’ll be able to pay them then. I had to set aside some money that I could have used to pay those two other bills, so that we can pay to have our taxes done. We go to h and r block, just so we have that peice of mind, that we know it was done right. and my husband likes to pay for it right then, so planned ahead…..although…hmm..thoughts going through my head. nevermind, other thoughts running through my head that just made me remember why i saved the money in the first place….hmm…stupid holidays…lol, jk
Just happy we’re almost ready to pay off our credit cards! woo hoo!

yeah, that sums it up. I didn’t want to spend all of our money, especially on all the bills, so I have to pick and chose which ones get paid this week, and which ones have to wait till the next payday, and then dance around others that need to be paid at that time too. Then I realized that a bill that was supposed to be accounted for as of last friday wasn’t, so now I am lower in the money I wanted to keep for the next 2 weeks till next payday. figures. You try to be good, and then the bill collectors don’t do what they are supposed to do. ugh. bills. just can’t wait till credit cards are paid off, and then this dance will be so much easier.
