I couldn’t sleep. Figures, my daughters sleep till almost 7 this morning, which is better than usual, and I can’t. UGH! I woke up when my husband left this morning at 5am. I tried to go back to sleep till the alarm, and no. That didn’t happen. That totally sucked. I didn’t have anything I could do. I thought about grabbing the laptop and bringing it into my room to give me something to do, but didn’t want to. When I finally grabbed it, I turned it on, and the minute I got it up and running, my youngest woke up. So that was a waste. Oh well. I was early today getting up, getting the girls dressed and fed, my 3 year old even got time to watch cartoons before school, which hasn’t happened in a few weeks. And, I got her to school before they open the doors for the morning. So all in all, it was good. And even though I didn’t get any more sleep this morning, I did get a little, when my 1 year old woke up early from her nap, I picked her up and brought her to the couch in the living room, laid her down on top of my, and we both conked out for another 45 minutes. So, small nap, but at least it was sleep.

helps when you have a 1 year old done sleeping early. She was up at 7, and my first alarm is set for 7:20. at least I got like 10 hours of sleep, I needed it too. I was so tired yesterday. I feel refreshed today. And not much to do! WOO HOO! YEAH! but now I’m going to be bored, and probably will want to play on the computer all day. ugh!
We use our cell phones for our alarms in the morning. I think they work better than traditional alarms. We would get so used to alarms, and then be stuck. I bought an alarm clock that was supposed to help us wake up somewhat in a better mood, it’s kind of hard to use. If you turn something off, you have to completely redo it. So, I’ve pretty much stopped using it. My husband uses it. Another thing about it, it only has one alarm. You can’t use both. It’s really weird, but it has a way that you can use aroma beads and different nature sounds to help you fall asleep and also wake you up. It’s a pretty cool alarm, just wish it wasn’t so hard to use. And that it had 2 alarms.
So, back to the cell phones. I was using just a plain alarm sound on them. I decided to change them, to a little bit different to maybe help us get up better. We get used to the sound, and then just hit snooze, or turn it off, and fall back to sleep. This morning, after changing my husbands alarm sounds on my phone, We use both, but I have 3 for him, whereas he uses one; anyways, the alarm went off, and he was up. He never gets up to the first alarm, so I think it worked well. I can’t wait to see what mine do on monday, if he gets up again or not, and also if I can get myself up on time or not. I also went to bed way early for me, and found it hard to go to sleep, so I got up and took a much needed shower, and then got back into bed, to only start thinking of other stuff, but I finally fell asleep maybe another half hour longer. I hope to get there this week, and get up with my alarm, so that I can get us up and going on time.
hi. so, today and yesterday, I got up about 20 minutes before my alarm was to go off. Last night I even set up another alarm, in case I hit snooze on one, the other would go off, and I didn’t need either of them. I am not counting this one off my list, because I know it was just because my dog needed to go out and do his business, but still, I made myself stay up, and eat breakfast, before my daughters needed to get up, to get ready for school. I also found their clothes and had them ready for them before they woke up. So, I am doing good with this as of the last couple of days, but I am not counting my chickens before they hatch. I’ll keep everyone updated on how i am doing on this one.
yeah, so last night, i made it a point to go to bed soon after we got home from a party last night, just so i would have a better chance of getting up ealier, and on time in a sense. And what do you know, of course something should happen to not make that work out. My 1 year old daughter had a problem sleeping last night, the daughter who has never had a problem sleeping, and seemingly has now started getting the night terrors, I remember her older sister, now 3 getting those around this time. Figures. Hopefully tonight will be better, and she will sleep the night away. I can only hope. We shall see.
yeah, the title pretty much sums that up. I TRY, I HAVE THE BEST OF INTENTIONS, but sometimes that isn’t enough. Well, I will keep trying to do this one. I went to bed way early for me last night, and am going to start doing this one. I got almost 12 hours of sleep last night, i was so exhausted, I woke up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I even made muffins for breakfast. I have changed my awake alarm from 6:30, to 7:20. If I can start getting up at that alarm, I will work on an earlier time every couple of days. Try to get myself back to at least 6:30. We’ll see. If I can get to bed by 10pm every night for the next week, it should work.
