well, this goal is for my great grandma. This past week, while I was gone, we found out she has a very aggressive colon cancer. It is the same thing that killed my grandma, her oldest daughter. My great grandma is 90, so has decided not to do anything, and has decided she has lived a long happy life, and is ready to die. So now is the waiting game, and the visits from family far away, so she can go in peace. I don’t know what happened to her quilting stuff, but I in no way want to ask about it now. It makes me more wanting to fulfill this goal, and when my mother in law gets here, I am going to ask for her help. she recently learned how to make quilts in the last few years. we’ll see

my great grandmother lost her eyesight from macular degeneration, before she could do my quilt. I inherited my grandmothers quilt when she passed away, because my great grandmother couldn’t do one for me. She made one for everybody in my family. I would like to keep the tradition of quilts for the family going, by learning how to quilt and making quilts like the ones she made for everyone else who has been added to our family either from births or marriages. First I will have to learn how to sew better. I got a sewing machine last year, that I can use to quilt with. My mother in law just learned how to make very basic quilts. Maybe I will start by doing that too.
