spend more time outdoors

as long as the weather holds. I need to mow the lawn, so I can winterize it. I bought the stuff today. But I have to mow it first. I also have to pick up crap first, stupid neighborhood dogs…ugh! oh well. I also bought a ac cover today. I want to get some other stuff, next payday to winterize the rest of the house. Try to hold some of the heat inside, and the cold out this year. Got to do something. The windows are horrible. We’ll see. I’ll let ya know.

after the sun started going down and it started getting cooler. I took our girls outside and let them blow bubbles for an hour, before dinner was ready. It was nice to be out there. We even let our dog out front, and he loves bubbles, he likes to chase them….hahaha, it was pretty funny. Well, other than that, not much else went on. Spent most of the day outside yesterday, we were at a birthday party at a park. It was fun, and nice to get outside for a change. Have a great day everyone!

well, one, it’s too hot for my little girls to be outside usually, and two, there’s too much damn smoke to let them outside in it. We live in Northern California, and this is one of the worst years, in 20 that I can remember. At least it’s not so bad that we have to wear masks over our faces, but still there’s just too much to let my daughters out there in it. I went outside a minute ago to move my trash can back to the house, and it just felt like fog, almost. I’m talking about fires around my area, I forgot to mention that earlier. Glad I did this last weekend, looks like the weather is changing. I got outside on sunday, and mowed the lawn, weedeated the whole thing and planted seeds in my window boxes and planters. It took about 4 or 5 hours to complete, but The yard looks so much better now, no huge weeds in the garden beds. It all looks like grass now, but that’s okay. At least it isn’t 3 foot tall weeds. I was so glad we spent that time outside too! It was a beautiful day!

this week it’s going to get way warmer, in the 70’s even. So, as long as my kids aren’t sick, we’re going outside some time this week. We have been getting out a little bit at least each day. at least trying. Right now my daughter is sick, so we’re stuck indoors. But I hope she feels better starting tomorrow, cause I would like to get outside and work in the garden. hmm…

I am going to go outside today with my family. We are going to go outside and play probably with the dog, and maybe even go for a walk altogether too. We’ll see on that last part. We are at least going to go outside and play. Hope everyone else has a great day! It’s a beautiful one here, just probably a little cold. Oh well, it’s worth getting outside and playing.

sunday, after we had a really good snow a few days before that, we played in the snow. It was nice to get outside as a family and just have fun. Even if it was cold, and the dog destroyed most of the nice fun snow to play in. Oh well, it was fun. My husband helped our daughters make a small snowman, and we took a few pictures of it and them, and the dog having fun with us. It was a really nice day. Now, if the snow would just go away, i’m getting spring fever and would like to go play in the yard, making it the way i want it to look.

I have been walking a ton lately, helps to have my husband take my car during the day, if I want to go somewhere I have to walk. But I also got outside yesterday and cleaned up my front yard, picked up any miscellaneous trash, and moved everything out of the garden area’s that have just cluttered up the area. Put the sand box that we bought from a friend, that has been sitting in the same place since they dropped it off in november, finally put it in the back yard. I also took a board that my husband was using in some craft project, and a few other things that have been sitting out since halloween, i know, horrible! I am so happy to see all the mess gone though, I can’t wait till it starts to dry out more, so I can put the rest of the stuff that is covering up areas that are mud pits away where they belong too! Yeah! My husband also got rid of the bags of recycling the other day! So now all we need to do one day is go to the dump for some other stuff, and we’ll be good. yeah! Then I can start working on our front yard. I just found out the other day, that my friend and neighbor next door is allergic to the smell of roses. ugh! I am afraid of what to do, I had planned on using roses in my front yard, and in my back yard. I don’t know. hmm. I will talk to her some more, and let her know what I wanted to do, see if that would be a problem. She’s like highly allergic just to the fragrance of them. I don’t want the wind bringing it up and getting her…. hmm.

I walked over a mile today, when I picked up my daughter from school, we went down town and got the mail. I am tired now and taking a break, but at least it was nice to get outside while the weather is nice.

We went to the school around the corner from my house. Let our daughters play, and also brought our dog, so he got to get out and let some energy out too. It was a nice and not too cold day.
