have a good job

...for a job I’m already doing! Seemed a bit daft filling in the application form. “What skills can you bring to this role?” Erm, maybe the fact I’m pretty much doing it already since my supervisor left? Theoretically I should get it… but I’m just so afraid of how humiliating it will be if I don’t and they employ someone else. So humiliating, in fact, that I almost didn’t apply – fortunately I realised in time that with that attitude I wasn’t going to get anywhere.

It’s so frustrating. I work really hard and yet always seem to get overlooked for promotions in favour of more confident people (who then turn out to be useless!)
