Build credit

i’m beginning to realize that credit is essential in this society. i have a visa debit card through my bank, but that doesn’t go towards credit in any way.

i recently moved into a new apartment with a friend, and because neither one of us have any credit whatsoever, we ended up paying a huge deposit. the same thing happened with the electric company, the phone company, and the cable company.

i know i don’t have bad credit and that’s a comfort, but i need to learn how to build good credit and do so.
