Make tomato sauce

.. right up until the point where we had to buy 6 kg of tomatoes. At $6.50 p/kg – there’s no way that I was buying 6 of them!

We’ve decided to collect and freeze until tomatoes are at a more reasonable price.

But we did make jam!

Mum will be coming over next Friday night and we will strategise over dinner. We will then get up bright and early on Saturday morning and take a walk to the shops for ingredients I don’t already have .. and spend the rest of the day making sauce!

I’m also out of jam .. so depending on how difficult it is I’d like to make some more jam too :)
