Okay. I don’t have lots to lose. I’m aiming for 4kg and then I’ll have another look at this goal. It’s gfood. It’s going to be tough. I love food. I love the comfort, the sociablity. I love wine and I’m going to ackowledge it, I use sugar as fuel to get me through my long stressful days at work.
I’ve been in denial about this for a long time. It’s destructive and moves me away from my goal to live a happy long life with ever fewer crutches. So I’m going to do this. One step at a time.
Step 1: Keep a food journal for 1 week
Step 2: Buy a treadmill
Step 3: Cook healthier meals
Step 4: Reduce my portion size
Step 5: Use the treadmill or cycle to work whenever I’m in Amsterdam during weekdays
Step 6: Cut my sugar consumption
I can do that. Can I?

I’m in CHina and have been shopping.Or at least trying to. I feel really big and uncomfortable in my skin. I wish that I was slimmer and didn’t look at everyone wishing to be different. I really regret not having cheriched my 22 year old body. Instead I have an almost 27 year old body that just isn’t as smooth or toned as I’d like it to be. And in spite of loads of exercise I feel even bigger and less attractive than ever. I really want this to change. I don’t want to have regrets when I’m 30 years old.

I have been going to the gymn more than ever. And eating more salads. But I love afternoon coffee and a treat in the afternoon during the weekends. And trying new recipes for dinner. And lots of wine… A recipe to undo the good work. It ddoesn’t feel like I’m getting anywhere with this.

Yeah a gymn is opening across the road from my flat next week. I can make going an even more regular thing.

Looking strong and leaner. And have received loads of compliments from former coleagues I bumped in to. Yeah! Next attempt is definitely to drink more water and soon to take up cycling.

I don’t have a scale so I can’t be sure. But I’m going to a dress up party tonight. The theme’s carnival. I was trying on some clothing and actually looked good in this little skirt I loved but havn’t looked good in for about 18mnths. And with a beautiful halter neck top that seriously highights every curve.
Yes! I feel so good knowing that it’s been through concerted exercise and cutting out the little things I was eating.

I spent most of the week with my mom and we bond over food. And I missed some of my exercise.
Back on the horse today. I’ve finally set a goal to lose a dress size this year.

I can see results! My bodies definitely more toned, someone asked whether I’d lost weight yesterday and I’m much closer to fitting comforably in to a pair of trousers I couldn’t even button up a few weeks ago.
I really want to look good in the clothes I wear. Jst say no to back packs and tire belly!

I don’t weigh myself, but after ages I’m seeing some results. Thanks 43t’s for the tips. I think that it’s a combination of loads of yoga and your recommendation to try smaller portion sizes and less salt.
You’d never believe how well the yoga’s been working. According to the BMI I’m fine. So this is about vanity and just not fitting in to clothing in shops without serious muffin tops & what I call my back pack. I think that a lot of the cause of my looking bigger than I am is the way I stand and walk and the yoga’s just changing all of that radically. My body feels stronger and I’m more aware of my natural grace. And I only started this month!
