Right now, I’m totally addicted to the Kingdom of Loathing and TheSims2 (I’m an expansion behind. I have them all up to Seasons)
What games are you addicted to?

Ever gotten in one? If so, what happened? Was it on this site or another? How did it end?
Only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that whenever I am on forums, I am constantly looking for the “cheer” button when I see a post I like.
More sites need cheers!
Why do almost parents think their child is an amazing genius, and why do they always have to tell anyone around them?
As far as I can tell, no child reads at grade level, they are all reading at a college level by third grade. They are all gifted. They are all the brightest child in their class.
I don’t think parents should be telling people their kids are a dumb as a box of rocks – but geez. I work with parents all day and I have for years. All their children are geniuses. Every single one.
I had a younger patron today talk about “old people” playing DDR. I assumed he meant people in their 80s and 90s. Then he corrected me and he didn’t mean old like grandma and grandpa, he meant old like mom and dad. I know his dad and he is younger than me!
So when do people get old (in your opinion?) I think you get old in the 70s.
Let’s say you go into the book store with a good friend. While you are shopping, your friend picks up a very expensive photography book. Then they pick up several paperback novels.
When you get to the register, your friend says that s/he is returning the photography book but doesn’t have the receipt. The clerk says “Well, we can only exchange it then.” And your friend gives the clerk all of the paperback novels in exchange for the photography book.
What would you do?
Any foods that most people think are really good that you absolutely hate?
For me:
- baked beans
- strawberry ice cream
- any ice cream with nuts
- crunchy peanut butter
Do you have any friends that you’ve known for several years that you met online and the net is still your primary form of communication?
I was thinking about some of my favorite online friends and I realized that for a few of them, we will have been friends for 8 years this August. And I’ve only met a very tiny number of them in person, but their friendship is just as strong as any offline relationship I’ve had in all my life.

The game is simple. You can take it by continent or by the world. They give you a map location, usually a city and you click on it. The faster you click and the closer you get, the more points you get.
I’ve greatly improved my geography skills since I started. I’ll take the test and post my own score.
I know some people who take it down on December 26th! Way too soon, IMO.. But then some people keep it up until February.. WAY too late, IMO..
When did your tree go down?
